The Municipality of Carnota is introducing a mobile recycling unit with the aim of expanding services and improving waste collection and traceability. It features nine separate intake slots for recycling the following items: coffee pods, energy-efficient light bulbs, batteries, waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), small electrical appliances, printer cartridges and toner, used clothing, used paint cans, and household cooking oils.

This initiative promotes more effective and responsible waste management within the municipality. The project is funded under the Order of January 15, 2026, and co-financed by the European Union through the Galicia ERDF 2021–2027 program, with a total value of €12,463.00.
